Job Title: Senior Technical Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Design Specialist to provide top-notch technical security engineering, design, installation, maintenance, repair, and project management services in support of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Diplomatic Security.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Utilize CAD workstations to prepare detailed engineering drawings from rough sketches and/or general engineering information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure coordinated designs that meet our high standards.
  • Apply standard design principles and theories to complete complex assignments.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with company policies, applicable standards, and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME.
  • Perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparation, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Analyze and understand orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
  • Makes revisions and additions as directed by the immediate supervisor, maintaining open communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field, with a strong foundation in technical design principles.
  • Experience with CAD software and its applications in technical design.
  • Possess a SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals, ensuring seamless integration into our team.

Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year.
