Stewarding Supervisor

At Loews Hotels, we're committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a culture of excellence. As a Stewarding Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety in our kitchens and food service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of 15-25 staff members, ensuring they're equipped to meet the demands of our busy hotel operations.
  • Coordinate staff assignments, prioritize tasks, and monitor progress to maintain efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with culinary, banquet, and other outlet managers to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory, reporting any issues to engineering and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and develop staff, providing regular feedback and coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Assume responsibility for setting up banquet functions, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and that stewarding responsibilities are met.
  • Conduct regular safety and breakage awareness programs, promoting a culture of safety and responsibility within the department.
  • Participate in quarterly inventory counts and monitor daily activities, such as dish machine maintenance and chemical counts.
  • Assist in emergency procedures and ensure that all areas are clear of equipment and food items during breakdowns.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Previous stewarding experience in a large-volume hotel highly preferred.
  • Able to work a fully flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to push/pull and/or lift 40+ lbs.
