Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at The Kenan Advantage Group. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on diesel engines. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring that all vehicles are in good working condition.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine problems and electrical system malfunctions
  • Ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition, including trucks, tractors, and trailers
  • Train and assist other technicians in performing preventive and repair maintenance
  • Utilize company maintenance software to create and complete work orders and maintain work order/vehicle maintenance records
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Holds a current Air Brake Certification in compliance with FMSCR or has at least 1 year of verifiable experience with the ability to obtain Air Brake Certification through KAG
  • Currently certified as a (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector in compliance with FMSCR or has at least 1 year of verifiable experience under a qualified inspector with the ability to obtain (DOT) commercial motor vehicle inspector certification through KAG
  • EPA 609 certification (Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning Repair)
Benefits:
  • Pay: $18-$30/hour (based on experience)
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm
