The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $24,740 to $38,600, depending on the location. Please note that these figures may vary based on factors such as experience and qualifications.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing coding audits and reviews of outpatient provider services to support coding optimization and compliance. You'll work closely with providers to provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support with the code entry process, documentation, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCC coding.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of medical coding experience in a medical office or physician billing office.
  • National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) upon hire.
  • Proven history of proactively identifying, resolving, and escalating issues that impact business and documentation outcomes.
  • A track record of organizing and planning, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
