The Role

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Before-School Program Facilitator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for motivating elementary and middle school students through engaging social-emotional learning and enrichment activities, including STEAM and academic support. Your primary goal will be to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages kids to develop essential life skills.

Responsibilities
  • Motivate students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities, including STEAM and academic support.
  • Lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
  • Assist with homework completion and snack distribution.
  • Effectively manage student behavior with minimal assistance.
  • Ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Work effectively with staff and embrace professional development.
  • Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness.
About You

We're looking for a candidate who has experience working with elementary and/or middle school kids. You should be able to understand and implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization in activities. Additionally, you should be able to effectively support kids' behavioral management needs and connect with students to foster positive learning experiences.

Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and complete a Live-Scan background check.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences preferred.
  • Must have completed at least 48 college credits or successfully pass an Instructional Aide Exam.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
