Job SummaryEpic Travel Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN ED - Emergency Department to join our team. As a Travel Nurse RN ED - Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and department performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Current RN licensure in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency department nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- General Emergency Department skills, including interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, CVA, ICP monitoring, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, ortho-trauma, spinal cord injury, CPAP/BiPAP, interpretation of ABGs, ventilated patients, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, isolation precautions, and triage.
