Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at the Miami Cancer Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing radiation plans, ensuring the safety of patients and staff, and providing continuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize radiation plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy
- Ensure the safety of patients and staff by adhering to safety and compliance programs, including OSHA, HIPAA, and the Code of Ethics
- Provide continuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology, including assistance with instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection, and quality assurance
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Medical Physics from an accredited College or University
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical radiation physics
- Board eligibility and completion of certification within three years for non-certified candidates
- Current certification in field by American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics
- Valid license for medical physics as required
