Position Summary:

The Ski and Ride Rental Technician collaborates closely with the Ski and Ride School and the rental department to prepare equipment for students participating in lessons. This role involves gathering rentals and assisting with fittings for young learners.

Position Specifications:

  • Work Schedule: Part-Time
  • Anticipated Pay Rate: $21.36 per hour
  • Experience Level: Entry-Level

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit product knowledge and demonstrate all features of the alpine and snowboard equipment line.
  • Understand the operations of the entire Children's Center.
  • Communicate effectively with high-level skills.
  • Fit ski and snowboard gear appropriately for children.
  • Assist in various locations within the Children's Center as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the rental shop lead or supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required.
  • Prior experience in a rental shop - required.
  • Familiarity with basic skiing and snowboarding terminology - required.
  • Fluency in English - required.
  • Ability to work with small tools - required.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds - required.
  • Binding certification (training provided by the company) - required.
  • Experience working with children and parents in any capacity - preferred.
  • Background in guest service roles - preferred.
  • Attention to detail - preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks - preferred.
  • Basic computer skills - preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus - preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays - required.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a guest service environment with individuals of all ages.
  • Knowledge of the local area and resort.
  • Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring children and/or childcare.
  • Experience in teaching ski and snowboard equipment is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish (optional).

The expected pay range is $21.36 per hour. This reflects the anticipated compensation for this position, with individual pay decisions influenced by various factors.
