Job SummaryThis is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the cost, schedule, and quality of assigned projects, ensuring they align with our company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, design partners, and other key project stakeholders by addressing clients' business drivers, frequently visiting project sites, and facilitating conversations with the project team.
- Aid in the construction management process of assigned projects, including reviewing client contracts, participating in the preconstruction and bidding process, overseeing submittals and RFI processes, coordinating purchases, and resolving issues with subcontractors.
- Continuously monitor and manage job cost and labor production.
- Participate in recurring meetings with project executives to discuss project financials.
- Closely monitor project cashflow and billings, as well as prices and negotiate Potential Change Items (PCIs).
- Actively participate in risk management on projects by identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Perform risk analysis and observation reports.
- Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring all activities and team members align.
- Monitor project success and adjust as challenges and milestones occur, notifying the project team.
- Conduct weekly schedule updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or any combination of formal construction-related education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to easily interact with members of the company's leadership team, client organizations, and the community.
- Well-organized, dedicated pre-planner and problem-solver.
- Able to multitask, work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, and learn and adapt quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and customer service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Primavera P6, Procore, and Bluebeam.
Primarily an office environment with frequent visits to construction sites.
