Position Summary:
As a Bindery Operator, you will play a crucial role in setting up and operating equipment while assisting with various print finishing tasks. You will work closely with clients and the sales team to enhance sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute bindery tasks as specified on work orders, including but not limited to: folding, cutting, padding, numbering, GBC punching, spiral or coil binding, fastback, collating, scoring, perforating, drilling, stitching or stapling, laminating, and wrapping.
  • Prioritize tasks based on work order deadlines and management directives.
  • Package completed jobs, finalize job tickets, and prepare delivery receipts as required.
  • Coordinate the delivery or shipping of items as indicated on work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and operational workspace, ensuring equipment is lubricated and in good working condition.
  • Request necessary supplies following established procedures.

Desired Skills:
  • At least six months of experience in a production environment.
  • A proactive approach with a readiness to take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A collaborative team player capable of meeting project deadlines.

Additional Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
  • Ability to identify and reject substandard quality or incorrect jobs and inform management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to surpass customer service expectations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and standards.
