Job Summary:

Virginia Western Community College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Surgical Technology Program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology and the ability to provide high-quality instruction to students.

Responsibilities:

Teach surgical technology courses to students in a classroom setting
Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students
Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
Maintain currency in teaching discipline and trends in community college education

Requirements:

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited Surgical Technology Program
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience within the past 5 years
Experience providing clinical instruction in an AAS Surgical Technology Program
Current CPR BLS Healthcare Provider certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology or comparable field
Prior teaching experience in a Surgical Technology Program
Experience using technology in the classroom
