Senior Legal Counsel

Job Description

State Farm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Counseling & Transactions Unit (CC&T) in Bloomington, IL. As a key member of our team, you will advise on a variety of technology matters, including transactions for technology services, vendor contracts, and data security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise business areas on allocating business and legal risks associated with vendor relationships
  • Draft and negotiate technology agreements, including SaaS, PaaS, and outsourcing agreements
  • Assist in contract negotiation and provide counseling on legal issues related to transactions
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Technology Department and other business areas to ensure compliance with legal requirements

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in at least one state and a member in good standing of the bar
  • 3-6 years of transactional experience, preferably with experience or acumen in the technology area
  • Commitment to providing quality legal advice and learning agility
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating technology-related agreements is preferred
