To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and be eligible to test. You must be certified within 4 months of hire. Previous experience in long-term care, hospice, or healthcare is desired but not required.

You will be expected to read, write, and perform basic mathematics, verbally communicate with residents, staff, and visitors, demonstrate dependability by being punctual and maintaining good attendance, and maintain a safe environment for residents and coworkers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality nursing care to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and visitors to ensure their needs are met
  • Contribute to the care planning process by providing specific information and observations of residents' needs and preferences
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and coworkers
