Special Education Teacher Position

Soliant is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Wayne, PA. As a member of our dynamic educational community, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
**Estimated Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
About the JobWe are looking for an experienced Special Education Teacher who can develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student. You will design and deliver engaging, differentiated instructional activities that accommodate diverse learning styles, monitor and assess student progress, and adjust teaching methods and materials as needed.
- Instruction and Support: Develop IEPs, design instructional activities, and monitor student progress.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and supportive classroom environment, employ behavioral management strategies, and foster a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students, communicate regularly with parents and guardians, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in special education, attend professional development workshops and trainings, and incorporate new strategies into teaching.
- Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior, and prepare reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification (Teacher of Students with Disabilities or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in special education, experience with various disabilities and learning challenges.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of each student.
