Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Piping Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, and develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including civil, structural, and mechanical project scope.
- Interpret client specifications to prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Attend client pre-bid meetings, take detailed notes, and ask appropriate questions.
- Coordinate estimating activities with a diverse team of estimators and project leaders to complete execution plans, project schedules, and final proposals.
- Prepare detailed and accurate bid quantity take-offs.
- Perform job cost analysis by evaluating cost factors related to the project scope.
- Prepare proposal packages and contact vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for supporting quotations.
- Prepare bid analysis and present for management review.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- 5-10 years of mechanical and piping planning experience.
- Experience with industrial process piping and sanitary piping systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and intermediate skills in MS Project scheduling software.
- Understanding of Lean Construction Principles preferred.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Training preferred.
