Mechanical & Piping Estimator Role

Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Piping Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating team, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and develop detailed cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including civil, structural, and mechanical project scope.
  • Interpret client specifications to prepare labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Attend client pre-bid meetings, take detailed notes, and ask appropriate questions.
  • Coordinate estimating activities with a diverse team of estimators and project leaders to complete execution plans, project schedules, and final proposals.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate bid quantity take-offs.
  • Perform job cost analysis by evaluating cost factors related to the project scope.
  • Prepare proposal packages and contact vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for supporting quotations.
  • Prepare bid analysis and present for management review.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of mechanical and piping planning experience.
  • Experience with industrial process piping and sanitary piping systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and intermediate skills in MS Project scheduling software.
  • Understanding of Lean Construction Principles preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Training preferred.
