Position Overview

Role Summary

At RadNet, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care through innovative technology and a dedicated team. As a Mammography Technology Trainee, you will be part of a collaborative environment focused on enhancing healthcare experiences and achieving optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete a comprehensive 40-hour initial training course in Mammography, including 8 hours of specialized training in digital mammography (reimbursement provided).
  • Engage in 8 hours of training focused on Tomosynthesis (reimbursement provided).
  • Successfully pass the California State Mammography Licensing Exam (reimbursement provided).
  • Explore career advancement opportunities through cross-training in mammography for dedicated professionals.
  • Receive hands-on training in mammography upon obtaining your California State Mammography License.
  • Transition into a full-time Mammography Technologist role with RadNet once certified.
  • Participate in various projects and meetings, completing additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrates a passion for patient care, exercising sound judgment and maintaining professionalism in all situations.
  • Exhibits effective communication and interpersonal skills, showing respect towards patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Possesses a structured approach to work, capable of understanding complex issues and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current California State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) certification.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong interest and ability to acquire new skills in advanced radiology procedures, including Tomosynthesis and biopsies.
  • Exhibits resilience, adaptability, and compassion, providing a calm and friendly demeanor to patients who may feel anxious about their exams.
  • Quick-thinking with the ability to respond appropriately in emergent situations.
