Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to enhance our manufacturing team in Lavonia. The primary role involves the safe operation of forklifts and cranes to manage the movement and storage of materials throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operate various sizes of forklifts and cranes to transport materials efficiently.
2. Safely unload incoming shipments and organize products in designated storage areas.
3. Load outbound shipments accurately according to packing lists.
4. Conduct pre-transport inspections of loads to ensure safety.
5. Utilize forklifts and pallet jacks to supply departments with necessary materials.
6. Complete shift inspection sheets for all equipment used, ensuring mechanical safety.
7. Report any equipment misuse or damage to the Production Supervisor.
8. Maintain accurate records in Epicor and complete shipping documentation.
9. Manage waste disposal and maintain a clean working environment by adhering to 5S procedures.

Additional Duties
1. Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures diligently.
2. Notify management of any unsafe conditions or hazards.
3. Assist in training new team members and support colleagues as needed.

Scope of Responsibility
This position is crucial for the internal supply of materials necessary for the production of woven fabric, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and/or cranes in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail and adaptability.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Capability to work in various physical conditions, including confined spaces.
- Must be able to stand, squat, and perform manual tasks frequently.
