The Olive Tree Catering team is seeking a highly skilled Service Captain to lead our banquet service staff in delivering exceptional events and receptions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality execution of large events, serving as a liaison between the banquet service staff and the kitchen staff, and assisting in management operations.
- Resolve guests' concerns, inquiries, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Lead the banquet service team by training, coaching, delegating, and setting a standard of excellence.
- Assist with food and table preparation before events begin.
- Set up buffets with attention to food presentation standards and practices.
- Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers, and other needs.
- Communicate effectively with managers, servers, and event organizers.
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including opening wine and taking drink orders.
- Clean up venues after events end and assist with inventory, food storage, and other closeout tasks.
- Assist with bartending duties as needed.
