Job Summary:
Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit team. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with complex respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and pulmonary hypertension.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, lab results, and medication regimens.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit or Critical Care setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Advanced certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or related specialty.
