Nursing Director

Morgan County Health Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director to lead our preventative health programs.
Job Summary:The Nursing Director - Preventative Health will be responsible for managing and implementing nursing programs that promote health and prevent disease in the community. This includes managing grants, collaborating with healthcare providers and community partners, and training staff on HIPAA compliance and bloodborne pathogens.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage nursing programs, including Children with Medical Handicaps, Communicable Disease Surveillance, and Immunization Clinic.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to improve disease reporting and immunization rates.
- Manage grants and pursue additional funding sources for preventative nursing programs.
- Participate in the accreditation process and develop policies and procedures.
- Assist the Administrator in formulating and administering organizational policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
- Current Registered Nurse license (RN) as issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Nursing preferred.
- 5 years prior experience in public health preferred.
- Basic life support certification.
- ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800 training or ability to complete ICS training within 6 months of hire.
- Valid Ohio driver's license with ongoing proof of auto insurance and ability to travel with reliable transportation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Mathematical aptitude necessary to assist in developing program budgets and monitoring expenditures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
