Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide patient-centered, specialized, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through an interprofessional approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities- Collect data on the physical condition and nursing needs of patients, and assist with implementing the plan of care.
- Assist in meeting the care needs of the patient in collaboration with the interprofessional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise in the provision of care in the clinical specialty assigned and perform all functions of the licensed practical nurse that are age appropriate, developmentally sensitive, and culturally specific.
- Identify ways to improve the patient's experience of care, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality to improve patient, family, and team member outcomes.
- Diploma in Practical Nursing
- Current Wisconsin LPN licensure
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
The LPN will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments. The work environment may also involve occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
ScheduleThe LPN will work a variety of shifts, including 5:30am-6pm, 5pm-6am, or a combination of 8 and 12 hour shifts. The schedule will include every 3rd weekend and variable holiday rotation.
