Job Overview

Pride Health is seeking a Senior Phlebotomist to join our esteemed healthcare team.

This position is a contract role with potential for extension, providing an excellent opportunity to engage with a premier healthcare organization.

Location: Monroe, GA

Job Type: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates possessing 5 years or more.
- W2 contract with potential for extension.

Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation: $18 - $20.00 per hour (Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
  • Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate records of maintenance data and decontamination.
  • Update patient information as necessary.
  • Collect and store specimens following established protocols.
  • Clearly explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients.
  • Demonstrate proper techniques using straight and butterfly needles.
  • Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by testing protocols.
  • Package specimens appropriately for transport.
  • Store specimens at required temperatures and ensure proper labeling and handling to maintain specimen integrity.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience is essential.
