Core Responsibilities

Position Duties
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to ascertain the work scope, including locations, quantities, and sizes of required materials.
  • Determine all necessary tools for tasks.
  • Recognize safety hazards and implement measures to mitigate those risks.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of all pipe fitting techniques.
  • Strategically organize operations to schedule workloads efficiently, optimizing assets and resources to reduce costs.
  • Supervise crews regarding processes, scheduling, budget management, employee relations, and staffing needs.
Essential Qualifications

Required Skills
  • Proven experience in industrial construction and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Competence in understanding technical manuals and manufacturer instructions.
  • Expertise in pipe fitting processes for industrial piping and boiler systems in new construction settings.

  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Good manual dexterity and aptitude.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams and provide clear instructions.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills.

Reporting Structure

This role oversees multiple crews, each led by a foreman. The foremen will report directly to this position.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, sit, and lift frequently.
  • Effective communication through verbal and auditory means is required.
  • Utilization of arms and hands for signaling, gripping, holding, turning, pushing, and pulling various objects and tools.
  • May need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work at heights, climb ladders, and navigate scaffolding while adhering to fall protection protocols.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Compliance with PPE requirements including hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection, masks, high-visibility vests, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
