About the Role

Insight Global is seeking a skilled Aftermarket Product Engineer to join a global manufacturer of mining products in Lexington, KY.

This individual will be part of a corporate office focused on product sales, supply chain, design, and service related to underground mining products.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with 3D design software and a working knowledge of 2D design.

Key Responsibilities
  • 40% Troubleshooting and Field Support: Engage with customers as a factory representative, travel to mine sites and factories to support machines, and inspect equipment to complete root cause analyses.
  • 30% Design: Create aftermarket designs for replacement parts and machine modifications.
  • 20% Proposals: Work with sales teams to understand proposal feasibility, develop engineering/service solution proposals, and present to internal and external customers.
  • 10% Execution: Ensure designed solutions meet customer needs and delivery requirements, and manage projects through the aftermarket solution design cycle.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and multi-system issues.

They will be passionate about a career in engineering and able to hit the ground running.
