District Inventory Auditor

The District Inventory Auditor position is responsible for conducting thorough inventory audits, generating accurate reports, and identifying areas for improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct front-line accounting reviews during retail inventory audits, collaborating with District Managers and Store Managers to identify store issues.
• Develop a preliminary audit schedule for the district, including neighboring store rotations.
• Assist Store Managers with invoice concerns, store organization, price adjustments, and abnormalities discovered in the system.
• Conduct visual checklists at each store, detailing store conditions, maintenance issues, safety concerns, marketing promotions, and loss prevention awareness.
• Complete 15-20 retail inventory audits monthly, importing data to the computer for processing, completing audit paperwork, printing reports, and uploading/scanning supporting documentation.
• Achieve established average per hour (APH) counting goals while ensuring accuracy and integrity of the data collected.
• Work in various environments with potential exposure to cold and heat.
• Relate information clearly and accurately, verbally and in written form, in a positive manner that yields cooperation and builds partnerships.
• Take initiative to explore and suggest new approaches that can impact quality and/or quantity of job performance and organizational effectiveness.
• Ability to complete other job-related duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

• Frequent bending, counting on knees, and moving product up to 25lbs.
• Repetitive motions requiring use of both wrists and hands using counting machines.
• Proficient in computer operations, including Microsoft Office and Open Office applications.
• Auditor will be expected to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
• 40-50 hour workweek plus daily travel to/from store.
• Reliable transportation to perform audits throughout the assigned market.
