Climbing Adventure Guide

We are seeking a Climbing Staff member to join our team at Spooky Nook Sports

As a Climbing Staff member, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional climbing experience for our guests in the adventure areas, consisting of the climbing gym and the Clip N' Climb gym. This role requires a passion for climbing and a commitment to ensuring a fun and safe experience for all climbers.

• 
  
• Greet guests and outfit them with proper equipment and instruction when needed
  
• Describe and promote available services and classes/lessons
  
• Maintain cleanliness of climbing areas
  
• Give instruction on top roping, bouldering, lead climbing, and use of auto belay systems
  
• Perform daily equipment and gear inspections
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

• 
  
• 18 years of age or older
  
• Dependable transportation to and from work
  
• Fluent knowledge of the English language, including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
  
• Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
  
• Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
  
• Authorized to work in the United States
  

• 
  
• 1-2 years climbing experience
  
• Knowledge of climbing systems, equipment, and safety
  
• Previous climbing instruction experience highly preferred
  
• Previous guest service experience is a plus
  
• Knowledge of route setting and grading for climbing walls is a plus

This role requires a high level of physical activity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to stand, sit, bend, reach, lift, push, pull, talk, hear, and smell throughout your shift. The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.

$12-$15 per hour, depending on experience
