Admissions Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Admissions Coordinator to join our team at Gersh Autism. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating and managing the admissions process for our NY locations and programs, from point of inquiry through enrollment.
Main Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective families and external constituents, conveying the school's mission and explaining our programs, curriculum, and admission process.
- Respond to all inquiries in a timely manner and follow up as necessary to ensure a seamless experience.
- Manage and maintain admission and contractual documents and records in our database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Schedule and organize visits and student observations on site, providing a warm and welcoming environment for prospective families.
- Guide parents and constituents through the legal and tuition funding processes, providing clear and concise information.
- Analyze student admissions files and make recommendations for placement in collaboration with the Director of Admissions and Principals.
- Issue admission and legal documents for enrollment, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Respond to legal requests and support the development of enrollment materials and marketing strategy.
- Coordinate re-enrollment activities and monitor attrition and retention, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Support recruitment efforts, including open houses, fairs, and events, to promote our programs and services.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
- A strong belief in and ability to articulate Gersh Autism's mission.
- 3+ years of experience in an admission function in an educational setting.
- Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum or special education preferred.
- Experience working with external constituencies, such as school districts or Special Education attorneys, a plus.
