The Production Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations is a key role within EnerSys Delaware, Inc. responsible for leading a team of operators to execute production schedules and maintain a safe work environment. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on quality control, employee relations, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Production Leadership: Lead a team of operators to achieve production goals, maintain quality control, and ensure a safe work environment.
- Scheduling and Planning: Follow production schedules, apply necessary timelines, and schedule team members to achieve maximum labor efficiency.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
- Training and Development: Execute training procedures, maintain training records, and matrices, and ensure compliance with work instructions and prescribed production methods.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure accurate production reporting and record keeping, review production metrics, and react to adverse trends.
- Process Improvement: Provide suggestions for continual improvement in production methods and working conditions, and maintain a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Employee Relations: Interpret and apply all company policies and procedures to team members, assess development needs, and provide guidance for career progression.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, recognize exceptional performance, and administer discipline when required.
- A high school diploma and a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience and two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to solve basic to moderately difficult calculations and analyze data.
- Statistical analysis proficiency is required; must be able to make sound business decisions based on available information and facts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of Kronos UKG time and attendance software preferred.
