Cafeteria Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cafeteria Assistant to join our team at Yuma Elementary School District ONE. As a Cafeteria Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to the educational process by preparing and serving food items to students and/or school personnel, while maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food items to students and/or school personnel
  • Maintain food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies
  • Perform cleaning and sanitizing duties as needed
  • Collaborate with the Cafeteria Manager/Director to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Food handlers certification and health card required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
