Role Summary

Anthropologie is seeking a Merchandise Planner to drive sales growth by developing and executing strategic merchandise plans that align with company goals for sales, turn, and margin. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) plans to optimize sales and turn performance
  • Forecast sales, markdowns, receipts, and gross margin using TXT Planning
  • Plan and manage attributes to maximize sales and profitability
  • Analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance vs. plan at class and attribute levels, identifying areas for improvement and proposing action plans
  • Conduct style count productivity analysis to inform inventory management decisions
  • Establish and maintain style count plans by channel and store cluster
  • Support buying and production teams with data-driven insights and system views
  • Analyze seasonal hindsight to inform future buy plans and optimize inventory
  • Collaborate with buying teams to analyze attribute, sizing, and price point data to inform new assortment development
  • Provide investment review financial recaps and support markdown and promo forecasting, management, and execution

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in planning or allocation analysis
  • Experience in buying or store management is a plus
  • Expert command of retail math concepts and applications
  • Strong statistical analysis and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
