Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, service, and clean up of meals served to patients and staff at the nursing center, as well as for special events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the cook in food preparation and presentation
  • Prepare and label nourishments according to established procedures
  • Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods; pour beverages
  • Follow production sheets and guidelines when applicable

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand English for business purposes
  • Basic understanding of sanitation, organization, and safety principles
  • Prior experience in food service, especially in long-term care, is preferred
