Logistics Coordinator

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Dispatcher to join our team at MV Transportation. As a Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in directing the day-to-day route operations and reporting to the Dispatch Supervisors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure safe, cost-effective, and on-time operating performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with drivers and clients to resolve service issues and ensure timely delivery of services.
• Monitor radio, telephones, and on-road provision of service for quality and make adjustments as necessary.
• Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service.
• Monitor and complete driver sign-in and sign-out daily.
• Assign trips to drivers to ensure adequate disbursement of trips between all assigned routes.
• Monitor daily system performance and participate in analysis and review of operating performance.
• Communicate with Dispatch Supervisors and/or Dispatch Managers regarding closed and/or late starting of routes.
• Be available to work all operating hours/shifts, including 3am - 11pm Monday - Saturday and 5:30am - 10pm Sunday.

Qualifications:

• One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience preferred.
• Two (2) years of Customer Service experience is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Trapeze and/or Ecolane software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate a high customer service commitment.
• Able to demonstrate professional phone manner.
• Knowledge of the service area is a plus.

Starting pay range: $20 - $22/hour
