Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Lead to join our team at Christus Health. As a RN Lead, you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating day-to-day activities of nursing personnel in patient care units, providing direction to Clinical Staff, and implementing work of assigned units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Organize and oversee patient care delivery during an assigned shift, ensuring proper staffing and smooth operations of a patient care unit.
  • Coach and counsel individual team members, monitor and provide feedback on performance, and address training needs.
  • Document daily staffing, operational, and administrative records, and maintain compliance with governmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide direction and support to nursing staff, demonstrating and promoting respect for the dignity and rights of every patient, and assist with communications with patients and families.
  • Allocate team resources responsibly and equitably, delegate appropriate levels of responsibility and authority, and provide oversight and guidance.
  • MEDIATE AND RESOLVE CONFLICTS AMONG INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, AND DEPARTMENTS.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
  • BLS required.
  • RN License in state of employment or compact.
