About the Role

As a Lead Electrical Engineer at EQ Talent Solutions, you will play a critical part in our high-voltage design team. With ten or more years of experience in electrical engineering and design, specifically in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining, and Petrochemical plants, we are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our projects.

Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Lead and support a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers on PDP, Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detail Engineering Projects.">
  • Develop project scope of work for electrical engineering and design.">
  • Monitor and advise Department Manager of major project changes.">
  • Prepare detail design schedule milestones, staff loading schedules, and man-hour estimates for engineering and design tasks.">
  • Report progress, update schedules, manage staffing needs, and hourly budget.">
  • Establish engineering and design concepts and data for scope assigned to group and assure technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements.">
  • Prepare project scope deviations documentation as required.">
  • Research suitable solutions, estimated cost, and timescales.">
  • Train less experienced engineers.">
  • Review vendor documents.">
  • Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project objectives.">
  • Apply standard engineering design tasks and exhibit working knowledge of applicable codes.">
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of work.">
  • Review and generate design data and/or deliverables from various inputs.">
  • Perform the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standards.">
  • Coordinate details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines.">
  • Supervise, check, and assist other electrical personnel in their assignments.">
  • Prepare and/or supervise and check documents and drawings as required.">
  • Manage all Electrical personnel on the team, including Workshare Office staff.">
  • Manage all Electrical design deliverables on the project, including electrical power studies (load flow, short circuit, motor starting, protective relay coordination studies, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-lines, schematics, and wiring design; lighting, power, grounding, and cable tray plan drawings, and specification of electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear in Petrochemical Plants.">

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.">
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills.">
  • Ability to obtain an Engineer-In-Training Certificate or currently an Engineer-In-Training is preferred.">
  • Professional Engineer License and the ability to register in multiple states is preferred.">

Compensation and Benefits
