MHA Columbia Greene is looking to hire a Psychiatric Clinician for the Mobile Crisis Assessment Team (MCAT). This is a part-time role, requiring 20 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $30.00. The schedule includes weekend shifts from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday, with the remaining hours allocated during the week for administrative responsibilities. We offer supervision for licensure and a sign-on bonus of $1,500.00, distributed in two installments. The MCAT program aims to prevent hospitalizations, reduce police involvement, and connect crisis callers with long-term community services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a two-person mobile crisis team,
- Conduct community assessments for individuals experiencing mental health crises,
- De-escalate crisis situations,
- Determine appropriate interventions,
- Provide crisis intervention over the phone,
- Collaborate with various agencies in the region,
- Perform follow-up case management,
- Maintain knowledge of available resources and provide on-call support as needed.
- Accurate documentation of all activities is essential. Proficiency in databases, Microsoft products, and other relevant technologies is required.

Qualifications:

- Must hold a license or permit from the New York State Education Department as an LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

- Supervision for licensure will be provided.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team is essential.

- Familiarity with the local area is preferred.

- Candidates should demonstrate strong character and a passion for working with individuals facing mental health challenges and/or co-occurring disorders.

- Self-motivation is crucial.
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to foster professional relationships with staff, providers, participants, and the community.

- Experience working with diverse populations from various socioeconomic backgrounds is necessary.

- Willingness to work outside the office and engage with clients in the field is essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are a must.
- Knowledge of managed care is advantageous.
