We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Leidos, where you will play a critical role in supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Infrastructure Engineering Center. As a Structural Engineer on our National Airspace System Integration Support Contract (NISC IV) team, you will provide technical support for the accomplishment of project engineering packages, including developing site-specific project plans and specifications, performing site surveys, and preparing summary trip reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop site-specific project plans and specifications for solicitation and contracting of engineering projects for FAA approval and acceptance.
  • Perform site surveys to collect site-specific project data and research all relevant standards, construction codes, and ordinances.
  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and solutions to issues identified during the site survey.
  • Prepare summary trip reports within two working days of trip completion.
  • Compile and complete project documents, including scope of work, project transmittal, drawing and specification lists, operational risk management checklists, and airspace case documents.

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering Degree (B.S.) or similar degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering design and experience with tower, shelter, and similar structure projects.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AUTOCAD.
  • Knowledge of Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), power, general building construction techniques, Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), fire detection, security, and site work.
