Role Overview:
As the VP of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in steering the cross-disciplinary development of products, focusing on building systems and subsystems. Your leadership will integrate systems design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, aligning with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic objectives for the design and engineering of modular building sub-assemblies, fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Oversee the comprehensive design process of modular units, ensuring alignment with architectural plans and optimizing for production efficiency.
  • Provide expert insights on technical matters, including structural integrity and material selection, while remaining abreast of industry trends.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure cohesive design solutions and effective supply chain integration.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and quality standards, overseeing the creation of detailed 3D models and product specifications.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, regularly assessing progress and implementing enhancements.
  • Lead and nurture a diverse team of designers and engineers, promoting professional development and collaborative success.
  • Engage with stakeholders, presenting design concepts and updates to senior management and external partners.
  • Establish and implement standards for the Assembly OSM Bill of Design and lead a comprehensive Design Validation plan.
  • Support feasibility studies and initiatives aimed at cost reduction.
  • Drive research and development efforts around new materials and technologies.

Candidate Profile:
We are seeking a strategic visionary with a passion for innovation and a collaborative leadership style. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, with substantial experience in product design and engineering.
  • Expertise in Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) methodologies.
  • A proven track record of effective leadership and project management.
  • Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software, complemented by strong communication skills.
  • A commitment to excellence and staying current with industry advancements.

Compensation:
The compensation range for this position is between $150,000 and $250,000 annually.
