Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Next GenHealth Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Labor and Delivery Department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Documentation: Perform and document basic admission, initial assessment at regular intervals per department procedures and guidelines, and according to patient condition.
- Abnormal Findings: Recognize basic abnormal findings during ongoing assessment and seek appropriate assistance.
- Patient Care Planning: Identify signs and symptoms of patients with similar diagnosis based on standards of care with assistance, and utilize resources to identify, prioritize, and document patient problems, needs, or diagnosis by analysis of subjective and objective data.
- Plan Implementation: Document and implement plan of care based on assessment according to standards, assists with revision as needed.
- Communication: Communicate plan of care and desired outcomes to the patient, family, and other members of the care team.
- Cost Containment: Recognize the importance of cost containment in delivery of patient care.
- Medication Administration: Implement physician orders in accordance with the nurse policies and Nurse Practice Act, and administer and document medication and therapies according to established policy and procedure.
- Time Management: Organize time and workload on patient care priorities with assistance.
- Education: Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited RN program.
- Certification: Must have a minimum education of an ADN and a BLS certification.
- Licensure: Must have an RN license in the State of Georgia, COMPACT nursing state, or have the ability to obtain one.
