Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to support customers in managing their healthcare needs and enhancing health outcomes through prescription fulfillment, clinical services, therapy consultations, exceptional customer service, and oversight of pharmacy staff.

Independent decision-making is crucial in this position.

Additionally, the role requires adherence to safety protocols in line with Rite Aid policies and applicable state and federal regulations.

All tasks must align with Rite Aid's brand strategy and uphold our core values and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in navigating pharmacological and non-pharmacological options for health management, utilizing clinical tools and adapting communication to customer preferences. (15% of time)
  • Deliver clinical pharmacy services in accordance with state laws, including adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), and prescriptive authority to enhance patient outcomes. (15% of time)
  • Utilize products and services to benefit customers while driving retail business growth and prescription volume. (15% of time)
  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to DEA, State, and Federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. (15% of time)
  • Provide patient care through in-person, telephonic, or digital interactions, collaborating with healthcare providers and care teams to focus on health and wellness outcomes. (10% of time)
  • Support the Pharmacy Manager in supervising pharmacy operations, guiding pharmacy associates, and overseeing their training, coaching, and performance evaluations. (10% of time)
  • Address and resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction. (5% of time)
  • Complete required certifications, education, and training, including Whole Being Health and regulatory compliance. (5% of time)
  • Maintain security protocols within the Pharmacy department. (5% of time)
  • Adhere to Standard Work processes to ensure consistent task execution. (5% of time)

Qualifications

Pay Rate: $65.00/hour

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
  • Doctorate in Pharmacy (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Pharmacist License in the state of practice (Required)
  • Immunization Certification (Required)
  • CPR Certification (Required)
