About the Job

We are currently hiring Registered Nurses with expertise in Medical-Surgical care to join our team at Mercury Group Staffing.
As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to achieve excellent outcomes.

Salary: $62,500 - $102,400 (dependent on experience)

Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day or night, to meet the needs of our patients and healthcare teams

Locations: Waco, Round Rock, College Station

Job Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care delivery.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer prescribed medications according to established protocols, documenting any adverse reactions or concerns.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on surgical procedures, medication management, and other essential healthcare needs, promoting informed decision-making and self-care.
  • Medical Documentation: Accurately record patient medical information, vital signs, and treatment plans, maintaining up-to-date documentation for efficient care delivery.
  • Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments, prioritize patient needs, and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Therapeutic Relationships: Foster professional relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, addressing comfort and therapeutic connections to enhance care delivery.
  • Care Plan Development: Create personalized care plans that reflect patient values and preferences, regularly assessing and documenting learning needs to empower patients and families with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans, delegating tasks effectively and following up to ensure completion.
  • Problem-Solving: Employ various strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff, recognizing limitations and prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.

Requirements:

  • A valid Texas RN license.
  • At least one to two years of Med-Surg experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work 12-hour day or night shifts.
