Position Overview:
Summit Medical Management, LLC is dedicated to alleviating chronic back pain for our patients. We are looking for a committed Advanced Practice Provider to enhance our Spine Care team. This role will involve managing independent clinics for Neurosurgery patients and providing surgical assistance as required. You will deliver exceptional, patient-focused care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve the best health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough health evaluations, including reviewing medical histories, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic results.
- Create and execute personalized treatment strategies based on patient requirements, evidence-based practices, and clinical protocols.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatments within your scope of practice and in compliance with state laws.
- Carry out minor medical procedures and interventions, such as wound management, suturing, and administering injections.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication management, and self-care techniques.
- Work alongside interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Accurately document patient interactions in electronic medical records, following regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives, research endeavors, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
- Stay informed about advancements in nursing practice, pharmacology, and healthcare technology through continuous education and training.
Essential Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas or eligibility for licensure.
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program and board certification (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
- Strong dedication to patient advocacy, quality healthcare delivery, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in spine care or surgical settings.
- Prior experience in a medical office environment.
Work Environment:
This role involves working in diverse settings, including medical offices, clinical rehabilitation areas, acute care facilities, and outdoor environments, with potential for off-site work and travel. There may be exposure to hazardous materials, blood, and bodily fluids. The position requires constant interaction with colleagues, patients, vendors, and the public, which may include individuals who are distressed or unwell.
Physical Demands:
This position is primarily active, requiring walking, bending, stooping, crawling, squatting, and lifting up to 75 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. It may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Visual acuity and manual dexterity are necessary for interacting with computers and other facility operating systems. Auditory acuity is required for effective communication with patients and the public.

The schedule is flexible based on departmental needs.
