Building Engineer

As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting to ensure that all systems are functioning within design capabilities and meeting environmental conditions prescribed by clients.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, which provides support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems and be able to apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Maintain an energy management program to ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.
- Assist with the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
- Perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
- Universal CFC certification is preferred.
- Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
- Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills.
