Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team as a telecommuter. This role involves traveling to customer locations in the Atlanta, GA region to provide on-site setup and installation of EFI industrial inkjet printers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide periodic on-site troubleshooting and repairs on printers experiencing complex electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic problems.
  • Unpack and set up printers, including checking electrical power and compressed air, and thoroughly testing the printer to ensure images meet factory standards.
  • Deliver initial and ongoing formal customer operator and printer maintenance training, assessing customer training needs and making recommendations for additional training.
  • Document technical feedback via the EFI Inkjet Case Management System following company guidelines.
  • Work a demanding schedule with up to 75% travel and occasional weekend work to meet customer needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, digital, and electronic technology.
  • Minimum two years in field engineering positions servicing complex electro-mechanical devices and high-demand customer locations.
  • Demonstrated customer management skills, strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to independently manage a large service territory, including effective management of assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems to the component level.
  • Working knowledge of RIPS, color theory, Microsoft Windows, and Linux operating systems, as well as basic networking protocols.
  • Frequently lifting objects up to 70lb and ability to work within tight spaces.
