Mortgage Lending Advisor

First Merchants Bank is on the lookout for a dedicated Mortgage Lending Advisor to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in addressing the mortgage requirements of both potential and existing clients. Responsibilities will encompass initial consultations, thorough collection and assessment of financial data, and the entry of information into our Mortgage Loan Origination System.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with referral sources to cultivate mortgage loan opportunities.
- Establish and nurture professional relationships within the community.
- Deliver exceptional customer service from loan approval to closing, collaborating closely with loan origination sources to ensure all underwriting information is accurate and complete.
- Market to and seek out new referral sources, including real estate agents, builders, and centers of influence.
- Expand both internal and external referral networks to drive business growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in self-sourcing leads within a financial services context.
- Ability to travel to various locations within the assigned area.
