We are seeking a highly skilled In-House Counsel to oversee and manage all legal matters related to acquisitions, real estate, contracts, employment, and more. This role requires a versatile legal professional with a broad knowledge base and experience in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters, including acquisitions, real estate transactions, contract negotiations, and employment issues.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements, ensuring that the company's interests are protected and that contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and integration.
  • Advise on real estate matters, including leases, property acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to wage and hour laws, workplace safety, and discrimination laws.
  • Collaborate with HR to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on employment policies and practices.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards; work with the operations team to develop and implement safety protocols.
  • Manage and resolve disputes and litigation, working with outside counsel as necessary.
  • Stay informed of changes in relevant laws and regulations and provide training and updates to company leadership and employees as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage legal risk across the organization.
  • Assist with corporate governance and compliance matters, including preparing and maintaining corporate records and filings.
  • Provide legal support for special projects and other initiatives as assigned by the VP of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
  • Proven experience in corporate law, including acquisitions, real estate, contracts, and employment law.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
