Product Director for Value Chain Compliance and ESG Management

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the product and design efforts for our Value Chain Compliance Management System. As a senior member of the product team, you'll collaborate with founders, executives, and go-to-market teams to interact with customers and evangelize our product vision and roadmap.

The Opportunity

The Product team is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the development of a suite of product offerings for compliance with regulations around Forced Labor and Restricted Parties, as well as emerging ESG regulations such as deforestation (EUDR), carbon (CBAM), and more comprehensive sustainability directives.

This role encompasses three main directives:

  1. Customer-centric product line solutioning: You'll develop end-to-end solutions for customers leveraging Altana's core capabilities across data and value chain creation, and build net new capabilities in value chain management for global compliance requirements.
  2. Supported decision-making with AI-driven insights: You'll collaborate with a world-class Machine Learning team to deliver tailored intelligence, such as prioritization of risks and opportunities, across compliance and environmental requirements.
  3. Collaborative workflows to take action: You'll partner with the Director of Collaboration PM to establish user network effects through collaborative workflows that enable users to take actions to resolve prioritized risks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee processes for user and customer research to deeply understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Build a deep understanding of market trends, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
  • In collaboration with product, engineering, and commercial teams, work to develop the overall product strategy, product roadmap, and feature specifications for Altana's Value Chain Management Compliance offering.
  • Collaborate with the larger product management and product design team, engineering and Machine Learning teams, internal subject matter experts, and external customers to scope, design, test, and deliver sticky product offerings.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing and commercial team to build out go-to-market and launch plans and positioning to capture the market opportunity.

About You

  • Significant experience as a product manager in a complex enterprise B2B space with multiple product offerings built on a single technology and data platform.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to product management, including comfort and desire to take full ownership and accountability for aligning successful customer outcomes with successful business outcomes.
  • Comfortable and excited to build, grow, and evolve new teams and capabilities within a fast-moving start-up environment.
  • Demonstrated success identifying commonalities and patterns across potentially disparate and conflicting user needs and developing compelling product solutions and transformative experiences.
  • Business-driven with a passion for technology, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate complex topics to diverse stakeholders.
