About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dairy Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a Dairy Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our dairy and frozen cases, as well as providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of dairy and frozen cases, including sweeping and mopping floors, and removing hazardous debris
  • Stock dairy cases, including facing, filling, and organizing products, and ensuring accurate pricing and tagging
  • Examine the rotation of dairy products, discarding expired or spoiled items, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge
  • Respond to customer inquiries, assist with purchases, and provide information on products and promotions
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
  • Monitor point of purchase signs, ensuring a variety of recipe cards, coupons, and promotional materials are available
  • Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks, and use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
  • Walk the department regularly to ensure a clean and organized appearance
Requirements
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers
  • Have good communication skills, and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Be able to perform repetitious activities, and can multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
  • Be able to lift and move boxes and crates weighing between 40-60 lbs, and walk up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shift
