Job Description:

The Senior Program Management Lead is tasked with overseeing the daily operations and ongoing administrative functions of program initiatives, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and providing comprehensive reporting on program activities from inception to completion.

These initiatives require collaboration with both governmental and commercial partners. The Program Management Lead is accountable for the financial, scheduling, and technical performance of assigned programs, proposals, and pursuits by leading cross-functional teams, including Program Management, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Legal, Finance, Quality, Security, and other departments.

Program Management Leads are expected to exhibit exceptional team-building, leadership, and communication skills, fostering relationships of trust with their teams, clients, peers, and leadership. They must communicate effectively and confidently, including delivering regular presentations and status updates to senior management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the financial, scheduling, and technical performance of programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Participating in contract negotiations and modifications.
  • Coordinating the development of proposals, business plans, work statements, specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for customer service program activities, leading program review sessions to discuss financial, scheduling, and technical performance.
  • Utilizing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodologies and tools to plan and execute programs, including identifying and mitigating risks related to cost, schedule, and technical aspects.
  • Leading and managing teams effectively, setting goals, and empowering individuals to take ownership of their tasks.
  • Assisting leadership in identifying opportunities for program growth and facilitating the capture of new business with clients.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Be responsible for leading the program team to execute established plans and support the customer.
  • Coordinate and prepare proposals, business plans, and specifications, and participate in contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Brief customers and upper management on all aspects of the program.
  • Work closely with the Integrated Program Team (IPT) to establish business concepts and critical tasks to ensure contracts meet or exceed operational and financial objectives.
  • Monitor progress to ensure adherence to the Resource-Loaded, Integrated Master Schedule, plans, and milestones.
  • Manage multiple programs simultaneously, demonstrating the ability to multitask and communicate daily for status updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Prior experience in the aerospace or satellite service industry is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Teams, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology and Atlassian JIRA.

Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance, which necessitates U.S. citizenship.

Active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
