Clinical Nutrition Specialist

As a Clinical Dietician at Brookdale Senior Living, you will play a vital role in coordinating nutritional care for our residents. Under limited supervision, you will complete nutritional assessments, develop and implement care plans, and document dietary information. You will ensure that the diet plan is consistent with regional direction and consult with residents to evaluate their nutritional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with residents and healthcare team members.
- Ensure that diet plans are consistent with regional direction and meet the nutritional needs of residents.
- Consult with residents to evaluate their nutritional needs and make appropriate referrals to other care providers.
- Document care information and participate in case conferences to discuss resident progress.
- Clinically supervise residents with high-risk conditions, such as diabetes and obesity.
- Identify the need for and develop nutritional education materials and tools to assist residents.
- Conduct staff training related to nutrition and attend conferences, meetings, and educational programs to maintain currency in the field of nutrition.
