About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale software systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of software projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and project management, to define project requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices and ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code meets company standards and best practices.
  • Identify and prioritize technical debt, implementing solutions to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve software development processes and tools.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on Android development.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Android Kotlin and Java programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience with caching, logging, performance tuning, monitoring, and scaling.
  • Ability to work in a distributed team environment, communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with GraphQL and Retail industry.
  • Prior experience in supporting applications, including on-call support with L2 availability teams during critical business hours.
